The Hasler family, founders of the Davos watchmaking company, began pursuing the art of watchmaking more than 200 years ago as a way to fill the long winter months in the hills of the Swiss Jura, but the craft soon became an unwavering passion. The Davos watch logo, identified by a stylised compass rose, has become a symbol associated with the brand's adventurous spirit, but also a symbol of water sports. It was not until 1987 that watches began to be produced under the Davosa brand, before which the Hasler family had been involved in the manufacture of mechanical and quartz watches, bringing their skills and craftsmanship to the new innovative company.

At this time, the Davosa watch company equipped wristwatches with Valjoux 7750 and 7751 movements and then began creating limited edition watches made from metal alloys, precious metals and steel. In 1998, Davosa presented its range for the first time at the Basel watch fair. Between 2000 and 2001, Corinna Bohle took responsibility for the strategic direction of the brand and created the limited edition Panamericana watch. A year later, Davosa began to focus on adding smaller calibre lines with specific complications, such as the Regulateur watches. The brand's first collection of women's automatic watches was launched in 2003, followed by the Pilot Chronograph collection to mark the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers' iconic flight.

Between 2008 and 2010, Davosa launched a collection of women's skeleton watches and a limited edition Rallye Pilot Chronograph. In 2013, the Davosa Argonautic Dual Time watch reached an altitude of 35,000 metres while attached to a special balloon, proving its ability to remain fully functional even when exposed to extreme conditions. A year later, Nikolaj "Nik" Linder wears the Davosa Argonautic Lumis Gun after sponsoring the brand, while Ambassador Luca Tribondeau tests some of Davosa's most durable watches during his travels around the world.

Over the past few years, Davosa has launched 4 new collections and is now represented in over 40 countries globally. In celebration of one of the brand's most successful and popular watches to date, it has also launched the "Argonautika" line, which included two limited edition models that quickly sold out. The flagship of the Newton Pilot wristwatch range was the Davos Newton Pilot Moonphase Chronograph with an edition plaque at 9 o'clock on the dial. The watch is powered by a DAV 3051 movement based on the ETA/Valjoux 7751, which features hours, minutes, seconds, a stopwatch function, a moonphase indicator, a date display topped with a red silhouette of an aircraft, a day-of-the-week window, a lunar aperture, a 24-hour indicator and a newly designed, highly skeletonized Davos rotor with Geneva stripes.

A few key points to the Davosa's production are that each watch bears the Swiss made seal. The combination of high-quality components and strict quality control ensures that Davosa watches are a quality investment for both novice and experienced watch collectors. The manufacturer places great emphasis on the small details of each watch, believing that it is these subtle accents of attention to detail that contribute to the functionality of a Davosa watch.
