Gant watches
The predominantly clothing company Gant was founded in the USA in 1945 by Bernard Gantmacher, an immigrant from Ukraine. Mr. and Mrs. Gantmacher began designing more casual shirts that corresponded with the younger generation's desired style of dress. This resulted in loose fits that had a pleat at the back, with a loop at the back of the shirt. They also devised a new way of sewing buttons onto the collar, which gave rise to a new button-down shirt.
Gant not only sells a collection of women's, men's and children's clothing, but also over time expanded its scope to include GANT Home luxury home accessories. In addition, watches, shoes, perfumes and eyewear are sold under the Gant brand.
Gant combines American casualness with European elegance.
