Based in Berlin in Germany, Lilienthal is a lifestyle brand that creates sustainable, stylish watches at an affordable price point. Co-founded by Jacques Colman, Michael Gilli and Richard Colman in 2016, Lilienthal Berlin takes inspiration from the city of Berlin and its urban lifestyle.
Lilienthal Berlin has won several design awards including Red Dot Award 2019, German Design Award 2018 and Green Product Award 2017.
With a strong focus on creating sustainable designs and packaging that are singularly produced in Germany, the brand is stamped with the ‘Made in Germany’ seal of approval. Additionally, all watches feature design elements that are directly inspired by the urban architecture of the city of Berlin. The crown, for instance, is designed in the unmistakeable shape of the Weltzeituhr at Alexanderplatz and the typography on the dial is the same typography of the city’s street signs.
The current lineup of Lilienthal Berlin quartz watches consist of L1, L1 Limited Edition, Meteorite, Urbania, XL1 and chronograph models. The brand also offers an automatic model named Zeitgeist Automatik.
Lilienthal Berlin watches are produced in Germany utilizing high quality parts and components sourced from genuine manufactures from Switzerland, Germany and Asia. The case, the hands, and buckles are sourced from carefully selected Asian manufacturers. The timepieces are equipped with state of the art watch movements manufactured in Switzerland: Quartz movements are provided by Ronda and automatic movements come from Sellita.
To ensure the distinguished ‘Made in Germany’ quality for its products, Lilienthal Berlin has partnered with some renowned German manufactures specialized in watch and jewellery making. The meticulously crafted dials of Lilienthal Berlin timepieces come from Schätzle & Cie. GmbH based in Lörrach, Germany.
All Lilienthal Berlin watches are assembled by the expert watch makers at Ermano Uhrwerke GmbH in Pforzheim, Germany. Watch straps are supplied by renowned German manufactures such as Graf, Marburger, and Di Modell.
All Lilienthal Berlin watches undergo rigorous quality tests as per the specifications set up Bundesverband Schmuck + Uhren (German association of jewelry, watches, clocks, silverware, and related industries) in order to obtain the ‘Made in Germany’ seal.
