The Tissot brand was founded in 1853 by the Tissot brothers, the same year they introduced mass-produced pocket watches that subsequently spread around the world.  In 1917, Tissot produced the first wristwatch, and its curved case design made it a great success with European and Russian customers. Tissot also produced plastic watches, watches made of alpine granite and watches with wooden cases.

Tissot watches represent the highest quality and thus create a good name for Switzerland. Tissot uses the best movements made by ETA for its watches. Materials of the highest quality such as steel, titanium, and 18-karat gold, as well as sapphire crystal, which is scratch-resistant. The water resistance of the watch varies from model to model, but the maximum water resistance is up to 300 meters. Tissot represents the top quality of the watch.
