The Hasler family, founders of the Davos watchmaking company, took up watchmaking more than 200 years ago as a way to fill the long winter months in the hills of the Swiss Jura, but the craft soon became an unwavering passion. The Davos watch logo, identified by a stylized compass rose, has become a symbol associated with the brand's adventurous spirit, but also a symbol of water sports. It was not until 1987 that watches under the Davos brand began to be produced, before that the Hasler family was involved in the production of both mechanical and quartz watches and brought their skills and craftsmanship to the new innovative company.

At this time, the Davos watch company equipped wristwatches with the Valjoux 7750 and 7751 movements and then began creating limited edition watches made of metal alloys, precious metals and steel. In 1998, Davosa presented its offer for the first time at the watch fair in Basel. Between 2000 and 2001, Corinna Bohle assumed responsibility for the strategic direction of the brand and created the limited edition Panamericana watch. A year later, Davosa began to focus on adding smaller caliber lines with specific complications, such as the Regulateur brand. The brand's first women's automatic watch collection was launched in 2003, followed by the Pilot Chronograph collection to mark the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers' iconic flight.

In 2008-2010, Davosa launched a women's skeleton watch collection and a limited edition Rallye Pilot Chronograph. The Davos Argonautic Dual Time watch reached an altitude of 35,000 meters in 2013 while attached to a special balloon, proving its ability to remain fully functional even when exposed to extreme conditions. A year later, Nikolaj "Nik" Linder wears a Davos Argonautic Lumis Gun watch after sponsoring the brand, while ambassador Luca Tribondeau tests some of Davos' most durable watches on his travels around the world.

Over the last few years, Davosa has launched 4 new collections and is now represented in more than 40 countries worldwide. Celebrating one of the most successful and popular watches to date, the brand also launched the "Argonautika" line, which included two limited edition models that sold out quickly. The Davos Newton Pilot Moonphase Chronograph watch with an edition plaque at 9 o'clock has become the flagship of the Newton Pilot wristwatches. The watch is powered by the ETA/Valjoux 7751-based DAV 3051 movement, which features hours, minutes, seconds, a stopwatch function, a moon phase indicator, a date window topped with a red airplane silhouette, a day-of-the-week window, a moon aperture, a 24-hour indicator and a newly designed, highly skeletonized Davos rotor with Geneva stripes.

A few key points to Davos watchmaking are that each watch bears the Swiss made seal. The combination of high-quality components and strict quality control ensures that Davos watches are a quality investment for both novice and experienced watch collectors. The manufacturer places great emphasis on the small details of each watch, believing that it is precisely these unobtrusive accents of attention to detail that contribute to the functionality of Davos watches.
